1st Halloween at 4 mos for Curtain Call 36 & Pink Elephant

This LO meets the requirements for 2 challenges - The Pink Elephants Scrapbook Challenge #14 & Stacey's Stamping Stages Curtain Call #36. I once again used DCWV card stock (red & blue). I also used unknown brands of ribbon & buttons, a tag from MM's Passport collection, monkeys cut out from Rusty Pickle's Big Top Monkey paper & tan paper is from a bulk scrap pack. I used my Slice to cut out the pieces the monkeys are on.

My DD was sitting in her crib just like this, next to her clown, when her father came home from work Halloween night. He looked & looked for her. I finally had to point out to him that there was only 1 stuffed toy in her crib. It was as if she knew if she stayed quiet & still she could play a joke on Daddy.

3 in 1!

3 challenges - 1 layout! I'm entering this "Lil Feet" LO in Twisted Sketches, Picture Perfect Creations & Paper Cutz current challenges. I used stickles for the 1st time (on yellow/round flowers & letters); I think I'm in love. Other items used include: DCWV cardstock, Fancy Pants paper, Prima flowers, Pebbles chip frame/square & MM's letters.

Another enticement

Another enticement for my foray into the world of blogs was a site I discovered just before PPC. It's called Sketchy Thursdays. There a sketch design is posted each Thursday & from the links posted using that weeks sketch a prize winner is drawn at random. My favorite craft supply source, cropchocolate.com, was the sponsor last week - which is how I learned about this cool blog. Since the two blogs deadlines overlapped I was able to use the same LO(s) for both! Using the sketch from one & the color requirements from the other. How cool is that!

New Experience

I've always loved to learn & to try new things. So why not learn about blogs by creating one? What triggered this interest in blogs? This past weekend I discovered an activity called Blog Hops. This particular one was hosted by Picture Perfect Creations -- Crafty Challenges. Not only did the Hop involve visiting various paper crafter blogs, but each blog was holding a random drawing for a prize. All I had to do was create a paper craft using specific colors, post a link to it & leave comments on each blog site. It was fun & cool to see each blogger's work. I also discovered while visiting these talented ladies blogs, that their are all sorts of blog hops, challenges & competitions.

I've been saying for years that I'm a scraper. While in reality, I've collected a lot o stuff for scrapbooks while my actually output has been pretty pitiful. Until recently that is. Now that I'm on a roll, why not keep motivated via fellow crafters blogs & challenges.

Below on the left is the layout I made for the PPC Summer Blog Hop. Next to it is a corresponding page to make a complete page layout for the album.

These LO's were made w/DCWV cardstock, Prima flowers, MM's: frame, embelishments (peach flower, butterflys), & letters. Grandparents letters were altered w/glitter & MMs paint to resemble the Spring Fling letters on the other page.) "Ribbon" threaded through frame is actually electrical wire.
