It's been ages since I've posted and I am completely amazed to actually have 8 followers. I am so blessed to have crafty friends in cyber-land.
I decided to add one of my cropchocolate.com projects to the Ink Stains 5th Anniversary Altered Altoids Tin Art Festival & Blog Hop! and linking to the image from my CC profile didn't work. So, I couldn't take the lazy route and here I am.
My altered tin is a practical one. A travel tin for earrings and rings. I hope you like it. It's simple to make and would make a nice gift for travelers.
Made with: The cushion Basic Grey brads are packed in along with Fancy Pants Hot Chocolate, Making Memories Sienne and My Minds Eye Life Stories papers. The chip board sticker on top is from Crate Paper. The sides are covered w/a coordinated strip of paper.
Happy holidays!

You Inspire Card
I've been making cards lately to submit in the weekly contests CropChocolate.com has been holding. I've been pleasantly surprised at the wonderful feedback they've been receiving. Below is my entry for this week's challenge - create something using a minimum of 2 lines of paper and a minimum of 3 folds and as always at least 1/2 the products used must be from cropchocolate.
The balloon generated a good bit of interest and questions on CC. Here's how I made it.
I used a circle punch (1-3/8") to punch out circles from a variety of papers. I then folded them in 1/2 and glued the sides together to form the balloon.
I then punched the basket using the 2nd largest shape from the SU owl punch and trimming the narrow end to make the flat bottom of the basket and inked the edges.
Lastly, I used the yellow topped stick pins from a package of MME embellishments to form the ropes and sand bags.
Note: If you use a larger circle punch the basket could likely be made using 1/2 of a rounded tab punch.
Products used to make this card included:
Paper from: We R Memory Keepers Madame Royale, Pebbles in My Pocket's May Bouquet and Basic Grey's kioshi, out of print, basics kraft lines.
Stick pins from My Minds Eye's Miss Caroline line.
Stampin Up Owl and Circle punches, ink and definition stamps.
Purple Daisy Stamps air-balloon.

I happened to visit my neglected blogger account the other day to check out what I've been missing on blogs I follow and was shocked to discover I now have 8 followers! Thank you each for the honor and making me smile. Since your kind enough to follow my blog, it would be nice if I'd post a little something, eh?
I've haven't done much crafting recently and what I have done has been prompted by CropChocolate.com. Between participating in challenges posed to their current focus group and the weekly challenges posed on the 'shops' website I haven't completely been neglecting my crafty supplies.
I used a doily for the both current weekly challenge and last weeks. The previous weeks challenge was to use masking - the doily served as my mask. This weeks challenge was to include a homemade flower and I used the doily from the previous challenge as part of the background. The masking/inking of the doily was done with TH Distress Stain.
I used a variety of items to create the flower for the current challenge - 2 SU punches, MME Lush paper and brad, MME So Sophie paper, and MM Hul-la-ba-lo.
I hope you like the cards and encourage you to check out CropChocolate.com; it's a great site for buying supplies and making scrappy friends.

Whoo-hoo! Squeezing in one last card under the wire. This one is for Corinne's Box of Inspiration Challenge. For this one I used My Minds Eye paper, Tim Holtz Distress Ink and a random ribbon.
I was able to knock out a couple cards for two more We Scrap Bring in the New Crop Challenges before the 11:59 EST deadline tonight.
The first one is for Amy's Color Combo challenge. I used Basic Grey, Echo Park, and My Minds Eye scraps along w/Tim Holtz distress ink and AC markers.
Sarah's 'Something' Challenge - Something: old, new, borrowed, blue. My somethings are: an old card I'd embossed and never used a few years ago, a new snowman a friend gave me, I borrowed my DD's pens to give him eyes and finally blue ribbon and card. I have no idea what products were used.

My Darling lovely Angel was made for Lisa's Challenge #1- One Old, One New.
My DD was first in a church Nativity performance in 1998 as a cherub.
Her most recent role in 2010 was once again as an angel. This time she
got to 'herd' the cherubs on and off stage and serve as THE angel
sharing the good news with the shepherds while on stage. For this LO I
used My Minds Eye Lost & Found papers, white & pink Stickles,
Making Memories brads and shimmer alphas.
Using My Minds' Eye Quite Contrary Jack & Jill line along w/flowers
from My Minds Eye Lush line & Die Cuts with a View cardstock, I made
this LO for Victoria's Scraplift Challenge.
My DD was SO PROUD to have dressed herself. Why she put her bathing
suit on is beyond me. I just love that she put it on backwards.
This LO recalling the Mother's Day DD and I spent on the National Mall
for the Million Mom March hosted by Rosie O'Donnell is for Lisa's Challenge #2- Something Old, Something New.
The pink paper, from Carolee's Creations is probably 6 years old. The
center flower, which is a few years old, is from Prima's e' line an it's
sparkly center is by Making Memories. The background paper and frames
are from My Minds' Eye Quite Contrary Jack & Jill line.
Sabrina combined her two challenges in one thread - Sabrina's "Bring in The New Crop" Challenges. Her first challenge is to use a New Year's picture. This LO recalls the year my DD received a ballet outfit from Santa. While we were at her Grandparents that night she was still excited about it & was dancing around. While spinning she lost her balance & hit her face on the coffee table as she fell. A week later, for New Year's dinner, while it was breaking up, her black eye was still shinning away for a Shiner New Year celebration. The paper is My Minds Eye Lost & Found; the journal tag is Fancy Pants and the gem arrow is Basic Grey.
Big Girl Bed is for Sabrina's 2nd challenge, "something new in your life." This pictures in this LO were taken one year later than the previous one & as does the ballet outfit pic, shows her favorite gift from Santa that year. She was so excited at the idea of being able to sleep in a big girl bed instead of a crib. She climbed onto it with out giving her other presents a thought. As the day went on, she was climbing onto the bed when ever she could. Who needs toys when Santa brings a big girl bed?! I used Doodle Bug Designs Cheerfully Christmas line. The word Bed! is Making Memories Felt Alphas. I also used a Fancy Pants journal tag, misc green paper, & Stampin Up ink.
For Victoria's Try Something New" Challenge I made this page, Moma's & Babies, recalling the first time my DD saw horses. A friend took us to his equine breeding farm during foaling season. While we were there not only did she get to 'ride' a dwarf pony (while it's baby was nursing), she also got to see a foal being born! I used Echo Park's Country Drive paper and Thickers for this page.
It turns out the pics need to be compressed to post them on We Scrap and they need to be in separate posts so here they are again in one post after another . . .
I'd never even noticed the option the change the picture size / compress pic option when I've been editing pics in the past. I had expected the pics here to be smaller, like they are on my computer. Ya learn something new everyday.
For Corinne's Challenge: A day in the life of... challenge
I made this page showing a typical Spring Saturday for my DD in 1996. I
used My Minds Eye's Hazel paper and a Making Memories brad.

We Scrap's Bring in the New Crop Challenges. Ive taken advantage of these challenges to knock out some LONG over due pages for my DD.
I joined the We Scrap crop forum on Friday, just in time for a slew of challenges their hosting this weekend. The challenges are hosted by their new crop of Scrap Team members. Below are the entries I've complete so far. Hopefully, I'll get some more done before the deadline tomorrow night.
